This friendship mobile is a sweet craft that helps to develop a culture of kindness and community!
What is displayed in the environment can serve to develop a culture of kindness and community before words are even spoken. This friendship mobile does just that!
This paper craft also helps children to develop dexterity and hand strength. The tasks of tracing and cutting help children to develop the hand muscles needed for the big task of writing.
Here’s how we made these darling mobiles.
Supplies:
- Colored paper (cardstock preferred)
- Pencil
- Stick or dowel
- Yarn
- Tape
- Scissors
Directions:
- Use pencil to trace your hand multiple times onto your colored paper.
- Use scissors to carefully cut out each hand print.
- Tie yarn or string to your wooden dowel or stick.
- Tape each hand print onto the strings. Put multiple hand prints on one strand of string, vary placement, and vary color to achieve a layered look.
