These Cardboard Trees for kids are a beautiful, eco-friendly craft to celebrate the winter season!
This cardboard tree craft is one of our favorite winter decorations right now. It is as low-prep as it comes, and you probably have all the supplies on hand right now!
These cardboard trees will probably stay on display well past the holiday season. Since they start with a generic tree shape, this craft doesn’t have to be stuck as holiday art. It could very well be a lovely, forest-school inspired craft that can be done year round!
Here’s how we made these darling cardboard trees.
Supplies:
- Cardboard
- Scissors or utility knife
- Glue
- Dried beans and/or pasta noodles
- Placemat (optional, but recommended)
Directions:
- Use your utility knife or scissors to cut the cardboard into the shape of a triangle. This will be your cardboard tree.
- Glue the dried beans and/or pasta noodles onto the cardboard tree. Create shapes and lines with the loose parts to represent garlands, lights, and ornaments.
- Allow the cardboard tree to dry entirely before displaying.
