Apple Collage Craft for Kids

Celebrate fall with this sweet apple collage craft. Free templates included!

This easy apple collage craft for kids is the perfect way to celebrate fall.

Nothing says “September” to me quite as much as the apple does.

This collage craft for kids is the perfect way to celebrate fall, but there is so much learning taking place in this project! Apple anatomy is being introduced, problem-solving skills are being developed, and kids are exploring different colors and textures.

Here’s how we created these sweet apples.

Supplies:

  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Apple Collage Templates (download templates for free here – page one and page two)
  • Paper in a variety of colors, textures, and patterns

Directions:

  1. Print out a copy of the apple templates onto heavy paper or cardstock. Use scissors to cut out each template.
  2. Set out the apple template pieces alongside a pencil, scissors, and a variety of papers in different colors and textures.
  3. Use pencil to trace each of the apple templates onto paper.
  4. Use scissors to carefully cut out the traced shapes.
  5. Arrange your apple onto a plain sheet of paper, working from the bottom layer to the top layer.
  6. Glue down your apple collage onto the sheet of construction paper.
