Promote a culture of gratitude with this easy Thanksgiving craft for kids!

What we choose to display in our environments is powerful.

What we choose to put before our eyes daily can silently impact us.

Promote a culture of gratitude in your space with this easy Thanksgiving (or anytime!) craft for kids. It’s one way you can build a community of gratitude before words are even spoken.

Here’s how we made these charming gratitude banners.

Supplies:

  • Coloring materials
  • Gratitude Banner printable (download for free here)
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch or tape
  • Dowel, stick, or string

Directions:

  1. Print out a copy of the Gratitude Banner.
  2. Use crayons, colored pencils, or markers to color and decorate the banner.
  3. Use scissors to cut out your decorated banner.
  4. Thread a dowel, stick, or string through punched holes or simply tape to the backside
to hang the banner and display it for all to see.

This craft is one of the ten easy, low-prep activities for kids found in the Gratitude Activity Pack. Check out the activity pack here. It’s geared towards preschoolers to second graders, but could easily be adapted for older grades.
