These dried bean Easter eggs for kids is a beautiful, eco-friendly craft to celebrate the spring season!

These dried bean Easter eggs are one of our favorite spring decorations right now. It is as low-prep as it comes, and you probably have all the supplies on hand right now!

This egg craft is a great way for kids to explore a variety of textures, to recycle cardboard, and to practice creating lines and patterns.

Here’s how we made these darling dried bean Easter eggs.

Supplies:

  • Cardboard
  • Scissors or utility knife
  • Glue
  • Dried beans and/or pasta noodles
  • Placemat (optional, but recommended)

Directions:

  1. Use your utility knife or scissors to cut the cardboard into an oval. This will be your cardboard egg.
  2. Glue the dried beans and/or pasta noodles onto the cardboard egg. Create shapes and lines with the loose parts to decorate your oval.
  3. Allow the dried bean Easter egg to dry entirely before displaying.
