Kids will enjoy creating these sweet doughnut cards for their valentines!
Looking for a sweet homemade Valentine’s Day craft?
This doughnut card is just the ticket.
We used a Valentine’s chocolate box as a template for this doughnut card. It added an exciting element of fun to the project, but you could just as easily draw out heart shapes instead.
Here’s how we made these Doughnut Valentines.
Supplies:
- Cardstock or construction paper in two or more colors
- Pencil
- Heart-shaped box of chocolate (optional, but recommended)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Stamps and markers
Directions:
- Trace the lid of a heart-shaped box of chocolate onto a sheet of cardstock or construction paper. If you don’t have a box of chocolate, draw the outline of a heart.
- On a different colored sheet of paper, draw a heart that is slightly smaller than the box lid. Use a wiggly line to create this heart’s outline. This will be the “frosting” of your doughnut valentine.
- Use scissors to carefully cut out both hearts.
- Glue your doughnut valentine together.
- Use markers or stamps to create sprinkles on the frosting. Add your message to the valentine.
