Recycle cardboard to create an adorable rabbit mask for Easter!
This cardboard rabbit mask is a delightful craft to celebrate spring and Easter. Whether you choose to use your final creation as an Easter decoration or as a mask, you can be sure lots of learning is taking place.
With this Easter art project, children will:
- develop social-emotional awareness through drawing facial expressions
- be encouraged to tell stories and engage in dramatic play
- practice conservation through the reuse of a cardboard box
- build their fine motor skills
Here’s how we made these sweet and simple rabbit masks.
Supplies:
- Scissors
- Cardboard or cardstock
- Paint
- Paint brush
- Black marker
Directions:
- Use a pencil to draw the head of a rabbit onto your piece of cardboard.
- Paint the interior of your rabbit mask in a singular color.
- After the paint has dried entirely, use your marker to retrace your rabbit’s outline.
- Use marker to add a face to your rabbit.
- Carefully cut out the rabbit head from the cardboard.
- Use your creation as a mask or as a decoration!
