Gratitude Crowns: A Thanksgiving Craft for Kids

Encourage gratitude with this easy Thanksgiving craft for kids!

There are so many things to be grateful for.

This easy Thanksgiving craft is an opportunity to spend time thinking about what we are thankful for.

This craft is also an opportunity for children to develop language skills by expressing what they are grateful for. It also is a chance to develop fine motor skills and hand dexterity through the tasks of cutting and taping.

Here’s how we made these gratitude crowns.

Supplies:

  • Cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Marker
  • Tape

Directions:

  1. Cut two 2” wide paper strips out of cardstock or construction paper.
  2. Tape the two strips together to form a band that fits around your head.
  3. Cut out several 1”x3” rectangles from the paper.
  4. Use marker to write something that you are grateful for onto each rectangle of paper.
  5. Use tape to adhere the rectangles onto your crown.

I am so grateful for you and how you took the time to read this post. Happy creating, friends!
