This simple do-it-yourself project will help you put a bit of nature everywhere!
It is safe to say we are OBSESSED with these DIY nature stickers!
All you need for this simple craft is contact paper, packing tape, and a pair of scissors. Go on a nature walk or scavenge an old bouquet to find some botanicals.
Besides being pretty – so much learning is taking place with this forest-school inspired activity. Artists develop fine motor skills by cutting out the stickers, connect with their environment, and support their mental well-being through the interaction with nature.
Here’s how we made these sweet and simple stickers.
Supplies:
- Pressed flowers and/or leaves
- Contact paper
- Packing tape
- Scissors
Directions:
- On the non-sticky side of the contact paper, arrange your pressed flowers and leaves.
- Use clear packaging tape to adhere the botanicals to the contact paper.
- Being careful to leave space around each pressed plant, use scissors to cut out your nature sticker from the contact paper. If you don’t leave room around the taped-down botanical, the sticker will not be able to properly adhere to whatever surface you put it on.
- Peel back the paper on contact paper to stick your nature sticker wherever you choose. Enjoy seeing bits of nature wherever you go!
