Clover Printmaking Project

Clover Printmaking Project for Kids by Abbie Ulstad of Grow Good Humans

The perfect Saint Patrick’s Day art project for kids – using recycled corks!

Looking for an arts and crafts project to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with young children? This printmaking project is low-prep and a great way to recycle any old corks that you may have laying around.

Supplies:

  • Three corks
  • Duct tape
  • Thick drawing paper
  • Washable paint in colors of your choice
  • Paper plate or plastic lid
  • Placemat (optional, but highly recommended)

Directions:

  1. Use your corks to form a 3-leaf clover shape.
  2. Use a strip of duct tape around the middle of your corks to bind them together in this shape. This will be your stamp.
  3. Squeeze washable paint onto a plate or a plastic lid.
  4. Dip your cork clover into the paint and then stamp onto the paper.
  5. Repeatedly dip and stamp your clover onto the paper, creating a pattern or design of your choice.
